Say yes to the dress: My ranking of Carson’s wedding dresses

On Saturday, Carson, our editor-in-chief, invited me and three other girls on the Carrier staff, to accompany her as she went wedding dress hunting. After eating lunch together, which concluded with me getting syrup in my hair, it was time to look at the wedding dresses. Though Carson made every dress look gorgeous, there were some dresses we all like more than others. Let’s rank them!

In fifth place is a dress I will name Rose, due to her rose pattern. The dress itself had lace and was covered with a rose pattern that I thought was very dainty and elegant. Rose was also the only dress to have sleeves out of all we tried on, and though they were very lovely, I didn’t like how they covered up Carson’s tattoos. The train was also so long and beautiful. Overall, the dress made Carson look like a princess, and Rose was very beautiful on her.

In fourth place, we have a dress I will be naming Forest, because the dress made Carson seem like a woodland princess. The dress definitely had the vibe of “I’m going into the woods to sing to animals.” Forrest is a poofy dress with detachable sleeves, and with or without the sleeves, Carson rocked Forrest. Additionally, the sweetheart neckline and the white-flower petal design of the dress made her look really cutesy. However, though the dress wasn’t really Carson’s vibe, I still loved it on her.

We’ve made it to the top three. In third place, we have a dress I will be naming Victoria. Victoria made Carson seem like she lived in a palace in Scotland. The pattern of the dress was very classy and beautiful, in my opinion. Victoria also came with sleeve-like gloves that were also very lacy with a puff attached, which I kind of thought was a bit extra. All in all, the dress made Carson look great, and though it was one of the best, it was not number one.

In second place, I will name this dress Ella, since it reminds me of Cinderella’s dress (minus the blue). Ella was a white ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. The dress was very classy and elegant, and we thought it was very good at capturing Carson’s personality. There were basically no flaws with the dress, and Ella was so close to being our winner.

The first-place dress’s name is Olivia named by the girl from the dress boutique, and Olivia was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The dress was a chic column-shaped wedding gown, with s slit down one leg and a veil adorned with pearls, accompanied by spaghetti straps. When the curtain opened and we all saw Carson in the dress, we gasped loudly and were soon all out of our seats. Carson, though she looked stunning in every dress, looked spectacular wearing Olivia, and it was easily number one.

Am I a professional at judging wedding dresses? No. Have I ever worn a wedding dress or been a bride? Also no. My only wedding dress experience is watching Say Yes to the Dress; however, I had such fun going with Carson and all my friends to try on wedding dresses that I knew I had to write about it.
