Welcome to the Class of 2029 and welcome to our returning students! I’d also like to extend a special welcome to our students coming to Berry from around the world! Although you all have just arrived to Berry, now is the perfect time to start thinking about studying abroad. Study abroad is for any student in any major, and there are over 600 programs and over 40 different countries you can go to.

We have a lot of exciting programs coming up for this school year. We are launching two new Berry Journey classes that will travel abroad over spring break (one to Ireland and one to South Korea). We have 12 SIPs (classes taught and led by Berry professors that travel abroad) for this coming Summer ‘26.

If you’re curious to learn more about any of these programs or how to make studying abroad possible for you, please join us at the Study Abroad Fair on Sept. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Kilpatrick Commons. Many of our study abroad partners and professors leading SIPs and Spring Break classes will be there to share more information about their programs. Additionally, recently returned study abroad students will be available to talk about their experiences. You’re also welcome to stop by the International Experiences office in Krannert 302 to speak with me or one of our student advisors!
