Berry College’s two more popular refreshment spots on campus, Berry Bean’ry and Java City, now have a mobile to-go order app. Students can download TouchNet Order Ahead app, sign in with the Berry login credentials, then place a food or drink order. As of now the only way to pay will be with flex bucks.
Freshman Katelyn Boman said Java City is one of her favorite dining spots on campus. When she heard they now have a mobile to-go order app she loved the idea because it will save students time when they are in a time crunch.
“It’s so convenient for it to be in the library and really helps me out on late night study sessions,” Boman said. “The quality of produce and customer service is always amazing.”
Freshman Sara Hernandez also loves Java City. Hernandez downloaded the TouchNet Order Ahead app and gave it a try, placing an order through the mobile order app for the first time.
“If I didn’t have to worry about money, I would be [at Java City] everyday,” Hernandez said. “Using the app was super easy and straightforward. They got my order exact. I would absolutely use it again.”
The convenience of being able to place orders ahead of time makes it easier on students. There is a possibility of the app adding the campus dining hall into its ordering possibilities. It appears as a tentative option at this point in time, but training is still in progress to continue expanding the capabilities of the mobile order pick-up app in the future.
