As summer arrives in Vienna, it brings many obstacles for those who live in the city. Vienna is not a city prepared for extreme heat, so the weather has a significant impact on the city. The heat can cause many issues for the city. It can lead to mechanical problems within the subways and other transportation systems. However, more importantly, it can cause trouble for the locals who have to find ways to fight the heat exhaustion and fatigue.
Even though the city may not be equipped to deal with extreme heat, there are many ways to cool off on a hot day. With not many options for cooling off at home, may locals look to spots around the city to sit back and relax. From relaxing in a park to taking a swim in the river or even just getting ice cream, there is something to do for anyone trying to escape the heat.
