Prom season starts mid-March and runs through early May, with high schoolers coming in from Floyd, Bartow and other counties to take photos. After a string of losses, a win can be exactly what a team needs to regain their inspiration. Curtis Gilbert, coach of the men’s lacrosse team, said this about his team’s two consecutive wins against Oglethorpe University and Southern Virginia University. The Collegiate National Association for Music Educators (CNAfME) hosted “Folk Dance Friday,” an interactive event designed to introduce attendees to traditional dances of six different cultures outside the United States.
