Courtyard Rome Riverwalk:
For $25 per person, the Courtyard Rome Riverwalk by Marriott, will offer a Valentine’s Day dinner on Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The menu, found on the Marriott’s Facebook page, includes options such as roasted lamb and tiramisu. Reservations are required to attend the event. A link to the reservation form can also be found through their Facebook page. Also, while at the dinner, check-in to the event on Facebook and receive two free glasses of champagne.
Chick-fil-A:
For an easy fast food meal, stop by Chick-fil-A and enjoy heart-shaped boxes filled with 10-count Chick-n-Minis, 30-count Chick-fil-A nuggets or 6-count Chocolate Chunk Cookies at the Truett’s Chick-fil-A on Shorter Ave NW. They are available until Feb. 29, while supplies last. However, Chick-n-Minis are only available until 10:30 a.m. each business day.
Krispy Kreme:
Krispy Kreme on Turner McCall Blvd. SW is offering a limited-edition gift box with a Valentine’s dozen, while supplies last. The conversation heart-doughnuts are the “star of the show” in this box. These conversation heart-doughnuts come in four different flavors; two flavors are the Chocolate Kreme and the Cake Batter. While there are only four different flavors of the conversation doughnuts, there are 24 different sayings available such as “Love” and “Kiss Me.”
The Foundry Growler Bar:
For an alternative to fine dining, The Foundry Growler Bar will have valentine’s-themed drinks like Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale and their house-made cheesecake. The specials will be available on Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Additionally, a 10 percent markdown on the Strawberry Bellini Wines will be offered. There is no age restriction for entry into the bar.
AR Workshop Rome:
The AR Workshop Rome is located at 411 Broad St. They are a DIY studio that offers classes for creating custom home decor. For example, some crafts may include wooden signs, canvas pillows or knit blankets. For Valentine’s Day, the studio is offering a Valentine’s Day Drop-in Mini Wood Make & Take Workshop from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop will allow participants to make mini-projects such as letter “LOVE” tiles or a six-by-eight inches customizable wooden valentine. Registration is preferred and the form, along with the prices for each project, can be found on their website, arworkshop.com.
Not Yo Granny’s Soul Food Fusion:
On Feb. 14 from 3 to 8:30 p.m., express love and inner creativity at the same time at the Valentines EAT! Paint! LOVE! event. Not Yo Granny’s Soul Food Fusion will be hosting the event, and the $25 ticket can be purchased online through their Facebook page. The ticket includes one entrée, one canvas and acrylic paint. Appetizers, drinks and desserts will be sold separately.
Skater Zone:
Skater Zone will be hosting a Valentine’s Late Skate that will last from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. The prices will be $10 for regular roller skates and $12 for inline skates. The roller rink is located at 2606 Calhoun Rd. NE and is only about 15 minutes away from campus.
Rome Axe Throwing:
What’s more romantic than throwing an axe with friends, partners or a loved one? Rome Axe Throwing is hosting a Valentine’s Day special from 5 to 11 p.m. on Feb 14. For $35 per couple, participants will be given about an hour to throw axes. The Berry College student discount can be applied to the special.
