From the eye-catching castle of the Ford buildings to the humble Roosevelt Cabin, the Berry campus is rich with architectural history for those who have an interest in the field. Longleaf Pine project aims to rehabilitate forest ecosystem

The Longleaf Pine Project is an effort to have a thriving Longleaf Pine ecosystem once again on Lavender Mountain. Those involved in the project use controlled burning to reduce hazardous fuels in the area and encourage open canopies. Controlled burns have many benefits for the ecosystem including reducing risk of wildfires, increasing the diversity of understory plants and allowing space for new species to flourish. Oak Hill Museum hosts Steffen Thomas Exhibit

The Oak Hill and Martha Berry museum is located just outside of Berry’s sprawling campus seeking to tell the history of Martha Berry and the founding of her school. While the museum contains many historical artifacts related to Berry’s history, the museum often has the opportunity to show a variety of art exhibits. From March 11- June 8, the museum will be hosting an exhibition titled “Prolific and Experimental: The Art of Steffen Thomas.” The exhibit is in collaboration with the Steffan Thomas Museum of Art, located in Madison Georgia. Thomas passed in 1990, and he is known for his work in a wide array of mediums, including oil painting, drawing and sculpture.
