We miss sports too. That’s why every Friday, we’ll be re-posting a Viking Fusion sports broadcast from the past year!

This week, we revisit #7 Berry’s 27-9 win over Hendrix on October 12th, 2019. The win kept the Vikings undefeated en route to their fourth straight SAA championship.

#7 Berry (5-0) vs. Hendrix (4-0)

• Berry’s defense was suffocating, allowing only 32 rushing yards and tallying six sacks.
• The Vikings special teams stepped up in a big way.
  • Mason Kinsey took a kickoff 97 yards back the other way for a touchdown, setting the program record for longest kickoff return.
  • Jordan Wilson blocked a field goal attempt.
  • Trey Gregory kicked a 49-yard FG to set the school record
  • Matthew Syverson blasted two 55+ yard punts that both landed inside the 15 yard line.
• Mason Kinsey tallied 10 catches for 136 receiving yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Dawson picked up 88 rushing yards on 11 carries.
• The win was Berry’s 20th straight at home.
